On Tuesday 19th September, Heathlands residents took a trip down the River Stork, staff and residents travelled up to Harlow to board the boat. The boat took a beautiful scenic trip up the river, which was buzzing with wildlife for all the residents to enjoy.
Staff were given an opportunity to help with opening and closing the locks and even steering the boat, much to the amusement of the residents! Lunch was then served on the boat, which was a lovely change of scenery for everyone. The boat was specially designed for disabled, so anyone in a wheelchair was able to join in on the fun too, a great time had by all!
