Care Home Open Day
Every year, care homes across the country open their doors to the local community for National Care Home Open Day, with this year coinciding with the Queens Birthday!
At Heathlands Care Home, we decided to celebrate with a two-day event, starting on Friday 20th April with entertainment from a local line dancing group kicking off the day. The afternoon continued with the smooth sounds of Jazz singer Chirag Goyate, singing classics such as ‘It Had to Be You’ and ‘Let There Be Love’.
Residents, staff, friends and relatives gathered together, enjoying the entertainment and tucked into a wonderful spread of traditional British food that was fit for the Queen!
The celebrations didn’t end there, on Saturday 21st of April a fantastic Elvis Presley Tribute entertained everyone followed by a decadent afternoon tea.
A wonderful couple of days that we’re sure will be memorable for years to come, thank you to everyone that joined us at Heathlands Care Home!
