Summer Family Fun Day
On Saturday 15th July, Maples Care Home hosted a family fun day with traditional games, ice cream and Pimms.
Residents, families, friends, staff and children all came along to Maples Care Home and got stuck in with a variety of games, from skittles, tin-can alley and hook a duck. There was even a chance to test your aiming skills, with tossing the bean bag into hoops. As well as the games, the children had a dedicated drawing table creating some wonderful masterpieces, with an assortment of different coloured paper and pens.
After all the fun and games it was time for lunch, everyone gathered in the garden for a delicious BBQ with a glass of fruity Pimms. Unfortunately the British weather wasn’t on their side, but Kirk a talented steel drum player arrived and everyone danced the afternoon away in the dining room instead. After all that thirsty work it was time for the ice-cream van, with all the residents queuing up to get one. A wonderful afternoon had by all!
