Henpower at Parkfield

Parkfield House Nursing Home in Uxbridge, became one of the 40 homes across the UK to be part of project HenPower. This innovative project was created from the Equal Arts Charity, with their aim being ‘henergising older people’s lives’. The Charity created the idea from a 12-month study by Northumbria University in 2012-13. Results from the study revealed that hen-keeping improved not only the health and well-being of older people, but reduced depression and loneliness in care homes.
