Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum
When residents join Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, they are asked if they would like to do anything, what would it be? This is then put up on the ‘wish’ board, and the Activities team at the home do their best to ensure every wish is granted!
Resident David, wanted to go and see some classic cars! So, on a very cold and wet February day David along with some of our other residents wrapped up against the cold and set off for Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum near Lewes in East Sussex.
Our residents and David in particular had the most amazing day with the undivided attention of all the staff at the venue. It was their first day of opening for the new season and we were the only visitors! They had personnel guides to talk to them about all the exhibits and plenty of time to enjoy the cars. Likewise at lunch in the café they were welcomed with enthusiasm from Justine & Louie with a hearty lunch. Then to top the day off they were all invited into the private house within the estate by its owner, to join them for a cup of tea in their palatial lounge where they warmed themselves ready for the journey home.
We cannot thank all the staff at the venue enough for their outstanding warmth and kindness shown to all our residents during their visit.
