Care Home Open Day
To mark National Care Home Open Day, Canford Healthcare Homes across the South East opened their doors to the public. This year it also coincided with the Queen’s birthday, so staff at our homes pulled out all the stops to celebrate in style for Care Home Open Day on Saturday 21st April.
At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre it was a sea of red, white and blue for our very own Street Party! All three floors of the home were decorated from top to bottom, with our residents all dressed up with Union Jack bowler hats and tiaras setting our royal theme! Residents, family and friends enjoyed a delicious buffet with a glass of bubbly to toast to the Queen. With the weather on our side, everyone gathered in the garden where the fantastic sounds of Rosie Ann from Full Beam Productions got everyone up dancing and clapping along. With fantastic renditions of “Land of Hope and Glory” and ‘There will always be an England” everyone waved their flags along to the songs. The afternoon was topped off with a traditional cream tea, which was enjoyed by everyone including relatives who thoroughly enjoyed being part of the day with their loved ones.
A big thank you to everyone that came along to the day!
