Brian has an impressive track record as an entrepreneur and chief executive, embodying the Canford Healthcare values of care, family, commitment and honesty.
After graduating with an MA from Trinity College, Dublin, Brian briefly became a management consultant before starting his own successful water cooler business. This achieved a remarkable 70% market share before he sold it after 14 years. In 2007 he co-founded Canford Healthcare, with fellow director Barry Lambert, to provide high-quality, specialist residential and nursing care for the elderly. Eight years later, Brian secured a partnership with a leading global healthcare/real estate company that supplied capital to fund further growth.
As CEO Brian has built a strong management team, with the homes going from strength to strength in a competitive market. Under his leadership Canford Healthcare is harnessing technology to improve care provision, give families greater access to information about their loved one’s care, streamline processes and free carers to spend more 1:1 time with residents. Brian’s aim is for Canford Healthcare to become one of the UK’s premier providers of care and support services.
