Our home manager Victor Zingoni has recently completed a skydive, raising £730 for the Alzheimer’s Society, well above his original £500 target.

It was a perfect early October morning when Victor arrived at Headcorn Aerodrome. The sun was shining and the sky was blue, with barely a cloud in sight.

This was Victor’s second skydive, so he already knew what to expect. After exiting the light aircraft at 12,000 feet, he spent several exhilarating minutes in freefall and enjoying the view, before opening the parachute and floating gently to the ground.

Amidst smiles and high fives after a smooth landing, he immediately promised to do another skydive very soon! “I really enjoyed the experience,” he said, before making a heartfelt plea for people to donate to the Alzheimer’s Society.

“I see first-hand every day what Alzheimer’s does to the people that we look after here at Cedars. I want to contribute to the advancement of the research that can help our residents and anyone else living with dementia or caring for loved ones living with it,” he said.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated. Your generosity will help make the difference,” he added.
